KX9049 1m Duplex Blood Bag Air Probe
The KX9049 1m Duplex Blood Bag Air Probe is a duplex probe with a blood bag probe on channel one and a damped air probe on channel two.
The KX9049 1m Duplex Blood Bag Air Probe is fitted with a 6-Pin Lumberg connector with locking screw, to provide a strong and secure probe-to-instrument connection with better prevention of liquid ingress.
The KX9049 1m Duplex Blood Bag Air Probe is designed so that one probe measures a core temperature by being placed inside a receptacle that simulates a dummy load, whilst the second probe is designed for you to measure the air temperature.
In blood laboratories, the regulatory authorities stipulate that the ‘issue fridge’ or freezer being monitored, has to have an air and core measurement, so that it can be proved that the blood products are within the permitted range as set out in the guidelines. Issuing a blood product to a patient that has not been stored correctly, could have serious implications.
The KX9049 is suitable for a wide range of applications beyond the blood laboratory, for example within the life sciences sector, where it has been used to measure the temperature of simulated product growth in incubators and warming cabinets.
