A Mortuary, or any department where post-mortem examinations take place, is generally licensed and inspected by a regulatory authority. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, mortuaries are governed by the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) and in Scotland information about regulation is provided by Health Scotland.
As per the Guidelines set out by the Human Tissue Authority on the temperature monitoring of storage locations for example, mortuary establishments should ensure that they have robust temperature monitoring and alarm arrangements for all body storage facilities in their mortuary, or on their post-mortem premises.
External temperature alarm systems can prove to be an effective solution, if they trigger both when storage temperatures are too warm as well as when they are too cold. They do need to be regularly tested to ensure their effectiveness however.
We work with mortuaries to ensure compliance with temperature monitoring regulations, be it from the HTA or any other licensing and regulatory authority. Our aim is to provide you with peace of mind from a robust 24×7 automated temperature monitoring platform, with particular focus on the following:
Ensure effectiveness of critical control procedures and protocols by eliminating human error and incorrect data, with a secure and robust recording on a fully auditable platform
Access and consolidate data from multiple departments and sites into a central, multi-user reporting platform, for fast-paced management on the move.
Make the most of your budget by investing in automated monitoring rather than paying to replenish valuable stock
INCREASED EFFICIENCY & LABOUR
Optimisation of key resources to increase productivity and quality by automating the mundane task of routine temperature recording
